How it works

Good Boost is a non-instructor led personalised pool programme, where each participant is set a range of activities based on the medical details you provide.

When you attend a session, we will give you a tablet computer for you to create an account. Once you have entered your details, a pool programme will be tailored to your health needs. You'll then follow this programme each session, using the tablet provided.

Sessions may include exercises such as running punches, ankle touches, hamstring curls, shoulder circles, for example - but these will be tailored to you based on your health condition.

Is it for me?

The programme is suitable for people with musculoskeletal conditions that affect the joints, bones and muscles, for example:

  • osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, gout.
  • osteoporosis, osteopenia and associated fragility fractures, traumatic fractures.
  • sarcopenia.

Other conditions may also benefit from the water based programme.
