Peter Lloyd is open!

Following a £2.2 million refurbishment of the centre, we are now open to the public.

Our members can enjoy the 'dry side' facilities, which include:

• a brand new gym area with top-of-the-range equipment
• a state-of-the-art spin studio, which can also run virtual sessions
• a new group training room
• a refurbished sports hall with a sprung floor to improve members experience
• a revamped welcome area
• new membership hubs to help existing and new members to join, book activities and make payments
• a refresh of the whole site, including a glow-up of the changing and toilet areas.

In addition, there will be new interior and exterior signage across the site and improved parking bays.

The rest of the site will reopen in the coming weeks as we complete phase 2 of the works. This will include:

• reopening of the swimming pool
• brand new steam room
• accessible Changing Places Toilet
• a new, larger family changing room
• redecorated pool-side

The site originally closed during Covid in 2020 and remained closed due to extensive water damage. As a result, essential improvements were much needed, including fully replacing the roof and refurbishment of the interior due to the water damage.

We have put together the following information to answer any questions you may have:

Can I come along for a tour of the centre before I commit to a membership?
Yes, of course once the centre has reopened there will be staff available to answer any questions you have and be offering tours of the facility.

If I have been a member of Lifestyles Peter Lloyd before, will I have to have an induction for the gym?
We do offer a waiver to our members but to ensure all our customers are comfortable and safe using the new equipment provided there will be fast track inductions available every 30 minutes during the first four weeks of opening.

I don’t want to be a member; can I still use the centre?
Yes, although we do recommend you sign up to one of our memberships and save money we offer general admission prices per activity.

Is Lifestyles Peter Lloyd fully accessible?
Yes, all our centres are accessible. You can find accessibility details on Peter Lloyd's homepage.

I’m already a Lifestyles member - can I use Peter Lloyd?
Yes, all existing members are able to use the centre as when you join one centre, you join them all. Our only membership which isn’t included at the centre is the Neighbourhood Platinum, which is specific to Austin Rawlinson.

Is there availability to book classes online before reopening?
Yes, our class timetable will be published on Monday 8th July for you to book classes from Wednesday 10th, when the site officially opens to the public.
